King Power Mahanakhon, formerly known as MahaNakhon is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Silom/Sathon central business district of Bangkok, Thailand.
It features the unconventional appearance of a glass curtain walled square tower with a cuboid-surfaced helix cut into the side of the building. The project was officially launched to the public in July 2009 with a joint design by Pace Development and Industrial Buildings Corporation Limited (IBC).
The building is located on Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road with useable area of 135,000 square meters. The construction was started in June 2011 and completed in April 2016. The design concept of a virtual building is surrounded by 3D ribbons or pixels with a height of 314.2 meters and 78 floors. Therefore, the total project value as a result of pricing changes during the course of construction finally reached 21 billion baht (US$620 million).
The building was purchased from CEO Mr.Sorapoj Techakraisri of PACE Development by King Power group in April 2018, resulting in the name change from “MahaNakhon” to “King Power Mahanakhon”.
